Overview

This case study covers traffic generation through Wink, Swipr, and similar apps, focusing on Snapchat as the primary platform for monetization. Below are the main points:

  1. Traffic sources
  2. Snapchat setup
  3. Wink app insights
  4. Swipr app insights
  5. Results, recommendations, and statistics

1. Traffic Sources

Wink and Swipr are among the most popular Android and iOS apps designed to find friends on Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok. The audience is predominantly from the US and UK, with an estimated average age of 20–30 years old based on user profiles.

Unlike traditional dating apps, these platforms allow users to share contact details directly in chat or via mutual “Likes.” This functionality creates unlimited opportunities to direct traffic to social networks and messengers — in my case, Snapchat — where you can post active links and easily avoid bans.

The user base aligns well with dating offers, as the audience is financially capable and engaged.

2. Snapchat

Snapchat is a highly popular app in my target geos (US, UK), with a strong male user base treating it as a dating platform. An important advantage is Snapchat’s relative tolerance for links, especially when used with a simple pre-landing page.

For pre-landings, I typically use services like linktr.ee or similar business landing pages to further reduce the risk of bans.

Before starting, I created a Snapchat account and set up a pre-landing page on linktr.ee.

Example:

The pre-landing was ready, and I uploaded stories to my Snapchat profile, attaching the pre-landing link. With that done, the main objective was to drive traffic from Wink and funnel it to Snapchat.

3. Using Wink and Similar Apps

These apps can be accessed both on smartphones and desktops. They don’t require proxies or constant profile switching; a simple VPN is sufficient for IP changes.

I started with the Wink app on an Android smartphone.

To scale the campaign effectively, I first installed a Multiple Accounts app. This tool lets you create unlimited clones of applications on one device, which is essential for running multiple Wink accounts simultaneously and expanding traffic volume.

Examples:

Next, I create a profile in Wink by registering via Gmail and using a random girl’s photo as the avatar. In the profile description, I add my Snapchat handle.

The profile is ready, and the interface is similar to other dating apps with the familiar swipe panel.

When you start with a fresh account, it gets 500 diamonds. One like equals 10 diamonds, so that means you can send roughly 50 likes per account.

Currently, it’s only possible to get 300-500 diamonds per account, so each account can be used only once—after 30-50 likes, it’s exhausted.

Using the Multiple Accounts app or an emulator, you can create unlimited profiles (up to 10 accounts per hour). Getting 300-500 likes and driving traffic to your Snapchat account is quite easy.

To save time on manual liking, I automated the process with a clicker app from the Play Market.

It takes about 5 minutes per account to register, like profiles, and exhaust the diamonds manually. Some users will message you privately asking for your contact info (usually Snapchat), and others will find the link in your profile description. In just an hour of manual work, you can get 70-100 new Snapchat friends.

4. Swipr App

Swipr is very similar to Wink and has the second most active user base.

I created a profile here as well and started liking users. You can target any GEO for swipes, but I usually select Worldwide to maximize traffic volume.

In your profile, you can add your contact details, which become visible to anyone who mutually likes and adds you.

Most local users, like myself, prefer Snapchat for communication.

Likes here work like diamonds in Wink: 1 like = 10 diamonds. The difference is that you can earn diamonds by watching ads, so accounts last longer and can be used until banned (usually about one day).

5. Summary and Recommendations

So, with these apps, you can find traffic to your social networks—in this case, Snapchat. The setup includes a Snapchat profile and a Master Affiliate Network Smartlink behind a pre-landing page like linktr.ee to avoid blocking.

These apps remain active, and there are many alternatives too, such as Hoop, Purp, Boo, Yubo, etc., with new ones regularly appearing in the Play Store.

To get traffic from Snapchat, you can either post stories with attached links visible to all new friends or send individual text messages. I use both methods—sharing stories and sending text creatives.

A typical example of my Snapchat stories:

Snapchat quickly bans accounts sharing 18+ content, so I stick to posting short photos and videos from Instagram to stay safe.

Conclusions:

  1. This case study is perfect for beginners—no complex tech skills needed, and zero costs involved (aside from having an Android smartphone).
  2. There’s significant scaling potential by creating profiles via emulators, automating actions, and using various app alternatives. The mechanics in these friend-finder apps remain consistent: Likes earn diamonds, and diamonds are gained by watching ads.
  3. Besides Snapchat, I tested Instagram, Telegram, and WhatsApp. All generated traffic and conversions, but I chose Snapchat because most users prefer it and it offers the highest traffic volume.

Statistics:

Wishing you great profits and successful campaigns! 🙂
